Material Origin

Leather that ages
the way wine does.

Conceria Walpier has been tanning leather in Pescia since 1942. Their vegetable process — oak bark, chestnut, mimosa — takes three months where chrome tanning takes three days. The result develops a patina over years that no finishing can replicate.

We order hides at 14 months and age them a further four before the first cut is made. You receive leather that has already begun its life.

Production

18 bags leave
this studio
each month.

Not because we cannot make more. Because making more would mean making them differently. This is the only number that does not change.
